Hi,
I have Honda Accord 2005. At about 6000 miles the engine developed a low pitched howl. You can hear it while the engine is running; you can hear it for a sec when you stop the engine. Why is this and how dangerous is it?
Another thing – it does not howl on a cold engine, only after the engine warms up…

make sure that your intake tube is securly attached to your engine and air box. Also is the air filter properly secured? maybe it is a little loose

Thank you, I’ll take a look tonight… but how come that it howls only on a warm engine?

car is still totally under warranty.......
I do not reccomend doing any work on car yourself it might void the warranty,,Take car to the local Honda dealer

in this case I would definately make sure it's all tight before hand so they cannot use anything as an "excuse" to not perform warranty work....but I do agree with you about make dealer fix it.
