Hello. I have a honda accord vtec 2001 and have recently have some problems wonder if anyone can help. The engin management light comes on and the car begins to idle on the revs very low about 1000 rpm and will not rev over 4000 revs.
Has anybody had the same problem? Can anybody shet any light. sombody has told me its a problem with one of the cars many sensors.

If it's the check engine light that came on then run down to autozone or call a local shop and a lot of them will read the code for free, then post it here and let us know what they find.....
If you want a wild off hand un-educated guess about what it is then I'd go with an O2 sensor or EGR problem...
