What do you guys think, are the splashguards required?
Mine is all curled down at the back edge, and it drags on everything.
They are sold on tas for about 40 bucks and with hardware it's about 60.
I'm trying to decide if I need it 'cause the car is at the dealer being fixed, and I want to order
before I get the car back.

i say somehow ghettofy it up and put iot back on. like if that curled up part barely covers anything just cut it off. or somehow uncurl it and reinforce it.

Yeah, I was thinking of using strips of aluminum or hard plastic and bolt/gluing it. I dunno, when I get the car back I will see more of what it does.
It rains down here enough that keeping the belts dry is a good thing, but the dragging was killin me.
TAS has the bolts and clips tho, and the old ones were stripped. hm.

I'd agree. You're not going to see it, just "fix" it somehow and put it back up.... try taking a hair dryer to it and heating it up to bend it back.

I'll degrease the thing and see what I can do.
I kinda feel like getting the new one with clips and all so it won't be a recurring issue, but if this one
did it, so will a new one, right?
I'm still in shock that the dealer is gonna fix the leak for free, so that might be the spur to spend unnecessarily.
