help!!!
I live in the 'rust belt' in doing routine maintence I am finding lots of problems with the original fasteners. It seems that honda uses 'flanged' nuts in much of their fastners. The trouble is finding replacements. There is always Honda with its significant cost. To try and find elsewhere is impossible-"you want what?". Is there another source for the simple stuff?

are you talking about the fastener which you place a screw in someting that once the screw passes makes a "V" shape and the outside parts hold it in place?

I mean the flanged nuts that are used on most of the bolts on the underside of the car-suspension, motor, exhaust. They are treated, I guess as they have a gold appearence, when new.
