Today i got my AEM SRI!! Cant wait to have it installed. I havent even opened the box.
I got a few questions:
Im planning on getting belts and plugs replaced, should i wait for them to be replaced before installing the SRI? In case it gets in the way or ruined.
And if i ordered two items (SRI and alarm) should i have gotten them at the same time? Or will the alarm come in a little later?

The belts and plugs have nothing to do with the sri so you can go ahead and install it. I don't know what you're talking about with this whole two item business.

it sounds like you need to contact the vendor to ask the two item question.

I got the alarm today.
The two item thing was, i ordered two items at the same time but they did not get delivered at the same time. But its ok now cuz i got both.
I should do the work myself, iv read tht it is easy, but i rather be sure and get it professionally installed.
Plus i need to do alarm and plugs also. Have to wait til next week probably!

The install on the sri is really really easy! I did it myself to the same year. Go for it and let me know if you need any help.

its not out of the ordinary that you didnt get both items at the same time. different stock levels and different warehouses cause things like that to happen.

Thankz everyone for all the help. I may look at the instructions and debate on doin it myself, if i do and need some help i will let you guys know.
Yeah it isnt out of the ordinary, it even said it on the receipt. It was just me getting anxious and a little worried.
Do they install alarms at Circuit City?

I would think they do, but unless you got a hookup there or are moving soon, I would look for an indy shop. They usually take more pride in their work than a kid working at CC.

What is an indy shop?
The only place i know of in town, recomended by JCWhit, charges $100 for installation. I dont mind paying it but would rather find a differnt place for less money. Price just seems outrageous!

Yeah, well alarms are pretty expensive to install. I wouldnt even want to put one in. Circuit City does and so does Best Buy which is where I got mine. They just wont offer and sort of warranty on the actual alarm since you bought it somewhere else. What alarm did you buy anyways?

The alarm is a Valiant.
Its expensive but lowers ur insurance, so it pays off.
I got my audio at CC, so i dont see why not get the alarm installed there, unless it is more than $99.99.

It'll be in that price range.

Drop the $$ for the alarm. Go wherever you want. I would never go to CC though because a long time ago I had subs installed into my old car and they drilled a hole into my gas tank. The technician working on my car? 18 and unsupervised, barely trained.
