Hello, Oldeskewltoy here, we (wifes car) just picked up a 2005 Accord LX-SE coupe with 18.500 miles, for just under $17k. Specs 2.4 iVTEC, auto, pretty basic, it replaces a 95 Nissan Altima 5 spd. First (and only thing so far) I noticed that I didn't like was the Bridgestone Turanza tires. They are VERY noisey! Anyone have a good tire they like on their Accord? The Altima has Yokahamas, I've always liked them, but want a few opinion of more expereinced Accord drivers, for no two brands ever drive alike.

This is my first Honda... but I do have some expereince with them, my dad owned a 1976 Accord CVCC, I did some early tech/prep/and accesssory install work early in my career(also mid 1970s).

nice looking car.... My opinion of tires is very dependant upon what you want them for... if it's just your wife's daily driver without any real performance needed I'm a HUGE fan of Falken Ziex (great price, great rating, great tire) or the Falken Azenis for more performance (they wear faster than the Ziex though...) I currently have a set of Hankook radials on my accord (it came with them) and I actually like them for daily use quite a bit...

I like yokahamas I never had a problem with noise, falken tire are cheap and wear out fast, even the expense ones. Dunlops are ok that's what i have now and they have a little noise.

Thanks for the welcome.... I've done prliminary reseach at tire rack (www.tirerack.com) and I'm tempted to go with what I know... they have the Yokahama's in V4S series, 205/60/16, for $75 each... seems a decent price for a 16" wheel. Her Altima had the H4S Yokahamas... of course they were 15" so they cost less on average. I also lucked out... my wife loves her old tapes, but her car came with a CD player... but I believe I've found a factory tape unit that fits in the lower console opening, price for the unit is $150. Of course there is an install kit, I'm guessing that sells for about $50..... At least we can hold on to the past (her tape collection) for one more car....

michelins are the best, energy mxv4 pluses, but you can get bf goodrich's which are made by michelin for a lot cheaper, while they have the same quality as a michelin.

nice looking car, i am thinking about an accord coupe probably v6 though.
