Its all up to you but IMO you shouldnt be worrying about treadwear as much as you should performance, road noise, comfort, grip, and quality. And the Falkens are definately quiet and absorb small bumps/pot holes/etc very well. I would guess the Falkens are good for 25,000 miles at most but still, thats pretty good. That is a guess though. And you said you wont be running them in the winter so it should be a loooong time before you have to worry about replacing them.
Why dont you call around and ask dealers what tire has the longest tread life in a 215/40/18???

Ride quality and noise really arent all that important to me.
I think now I am going to call a few places tomorrow, and if I cant find anything better ill just go ahead w/ the Yokohamas. Bah, I hope I get my wheels by Friday!
