Hi everybody! I am a new member and I am replacing an axle on a 93 Accord SE. I can't get the ball joint apart from the control arm. I removed the axle nut, the castle nut off the balljoint and loosened the fork bolt. I have been banging and prying on the control arm with no luck. Is there something I am forgetting???...Thanx.

I believe there is a ball joint nut on the underside of the ball joint that needs to be removed then according to the manual they use a puller, I believe though that if you remove the lower damper fork bolt that goes through the control arm that will give you more play to lower it so you're not fighting the strut/spring, then you can use a large prybar and carefully remove it.
You can give this a try (it's only one more bolt) or wait for some other responses, or go buy/rent a puller

Ok,I FINALLY got it...I saw a video on Youtube where a guy put a ratchet between the control arm and the balljoint and gave it a swift kick. Works for me!. Now the hard part is getting the long bolt to line up with the fork in the control arm.... Does anybody happen to know the torque for the axle nut????

I think the axle nut is 181 lb - ft.
