so im not sure about this one... i asked my friend (previous owner of a 6th gen) why i was burning so much damn oil... he said it was probably the catalyc converter...
its a high flow cat... in my opinion its probably the same as a test pipe... coz it is straight through... no restriction...
in any case .... my car burns alot of oil.... so my question is...
1. how can i get it to stop, without rebuilding the motor (id rather just do a h22 swap)
and
2. could it be the cat thats the culprit of my situation???

i dont see any possible way of a cat causing you to burn oil, its usually piston rings that cause this, but there are also other reasons, and there is really no way of telling without doing tests

im interested... what test''s are these? ....like leak down? or compression?......
i pulled my plugs to replace them and they didnt look drenched in oil... but had a white coat on them on the tips

both tests will help, oil in the spark plugs wouldnt really indicate burning oil, rather than leaking valve cover gaskets

Worn valve guides, or bad valve seals possibly

Is oil or other fluid actually leaking from your engine? If so try to find hte spot where.
Check your compression too
