im sick of hondas service , crooks cheats and lies . i have had enough, i love my cars but i will never buy another honda . maybe all dealerships of all brands of cars are the same but im not going to put up with everything that comes along with the service dept. the sales people , american honda , the mechanics , . they are the worst to deal with , im furious ! you need your lawyer present when dealing with any of these depts.

Every respected car company has its fair share of bad service dealerships, I was just reading about a Pontiac one on another site I surf. You have to find somewhere that is actually knowledgable.. and sometimes it is hard. Some people get lucky, others don't. Keep talking with them until you get what you want, if they don't give you what you want you find somewhere else. Or talk to a Honda Service Rep of some sort. Go above their head and try to hash it out that way.

If they have done something really wrong, go to a local news agency and see if they can get a reporter to do a story on the dealership.  That will hit them where it hurts since their sales will probably go down.

The few times I've used service at my local dealer, they've been real good.

I haven't ever used a local dealer (too expensive) but the Honda Certified Shop I used to change my timing belt was very good.

My local dealership gave me a follow-up call a few days later (automated, but nice none the less...) the also washed the car for free and gave me a quick run-down of what needs to be fixed/have attention, THEN they gave me a punch card, every 5th oil change is free.  As far as I'm concerned it has nothing to do with what brand of vehicle you drive, it's all about who runs the dealership

I normally do the work myself.  But I can't do tire mounting & balancing, or suspension alignment.

My real point is you can't bash every Honda dealer just because ONE of them is a jerk.

Haha I know you do most of your work yourself.  You have helped me out quite a few times in the past.
You do a lot more than I would do on my own.
I still don't have the cajones to attempt a timing belt change on my own!

I agree with your point too.
