I've replaced the intermediate pipe and a muffler - i bought it from TAS autoparts - and i think it was made by bosal - its not original Honda though.
Now - my car sounds a weird sound when i'm decreasing speed on a highway lets say - it gives a *buttom* roar - for a few seconds - is it possible that the new pipe is doing that or it might be a hole in catalyst or manifold - how do i check them for leaks as it could be a tiny hole.
any ideas?

take it to a meineke and get a free check... you are allowed to walk under the car when they inspect it. If its an easy fix.. dont show back up.

Rhode Island - are you implying that it might be because of cold weather??
because air intake kinda adds to the roar when you put it , but i dont have it - its a stock air filter

oh well i didnt wanna mess with it untill the good weather - as i put it on the dyno and run it - it gave me the same roar at the back - in fact the muffler tips came up damaged when they delivered it so i guess theres a problem from inside - i'm getting a new muffler to solve that problem
...by the way the gaskets in between midpipe do! help with that buzz - i was amased for myself!

I have a similar problem,
I own a 1995 Honda Accord EX 4dr Automatic 2.2 4cyl Vtec (Federal Emissions).
I recently replaced the intermediate pipe purchased from
overnightautoparts - made by Bosal Part # 284-021 (H5000-51056).
I had a crack in it for about 2 month prior to replacement.
My car also makes a weird sound when i'm decreasing speed on a highway.
I'm guessing that it is just a feature of the aftermarket part.
It sucks, they didn't advertise that.
Also, now my car vibrates a lot when I am stopped and in gear.
I noticed that my RPM is just barely over 500 rpms.
But I just checked with my friend's honda accord 95
and his idle speeds are the same as mine. But his car doesn't
vibrate.
Could the the Bosal aftermarket intermediate pipe
be that different from OEM to cause
the weird noise and my vibrations??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
DK
