i wanna know the difference.

whats  the difference between a LX,DX,and EX?

ex is the top of the line, has all the options, vtec motor, power everything, sunroof, rear disc etc,  lx has some of the options, and dx has nothing

some other things: 94-95 EX''''s came with alloy wheels, 96-97 EX and 94-97 LX and DX came with wheel caps. EX came with color matched side door moldings. LX came with black side door moldings. DX came with black side door moldings and door handles.

so i have the ex-l casuei have all the otions the offered from the factory right, with leather?

Dont you have the letter badging on your car Tippman, I have the letters EX on the back of my car...

Correct me if I''m wrong, but the EX-L trim was not offered until the 7th gen with navi...

Also, DX models lack A/C, you have to buy the kit.

nope... thats why i ask it only says accord and v6 in gold letters

6th gen models:
EX = F23A1 or F23A4 (VTEC and ULEV VTEC) engine, usually have leather, but some don''t, have sunroof, power everything
LX = F23A1 or F23A4 engine, no leather, no sunroof, mine has power wiindows & door locks
DX = F23A5 (non VTEC), no A/C (although some dealerships will add it before selling one), manual windows & locks, no sunroof - it is the stripped down base model Accord.
5th gens I know only the EX models had VTEC, but other than that I am not sure

Doh! We just explained that if you have a sunroof = EX.

5th gen LX had the optional F22B1 engine (VTEC), it wasn''t just for EXs.

Tippman:  On the V6, I think that climate control indicates EX also.  I knew that mine was an EX because the EX and LX had different taillights ....... the opposite ones as the 4 cyl.

^ What? Sorry, Aaron you''re wrong. 98-00 tails had the turn signal on top, 01-02 has it on the bottom. And for the record, no you cannt swap them with each other.

What?? Are you sure on that one?  I''ve never heard of a 5th gen LX that had VTEC unless it was swapped.

I was at the dealer discussing the options when we bought our 5th gen. The VTEC engine was a $1500 option. :D

Oh alright i just wanted to make sure..cuz when i went to get my tires changed the dude said it was a LX but my other friends said a EX

I think the dealer was probably going to sell you an EX for $1500 more than an LX cost. Either that or the salesman didn''t know what he was talking about (that would be such a surprise)

You''re misunderstanding me ... in 2000, the 4 cylinder EX and LX had different taillights.  The EX V6 had the same ones as the LX 4 cyl. and the LX V6 had the lights from the 4 cylinder EX.  All 2000''s.
