I understand that the 1998-2002 Honda Accords had an extended warranty to 100,000 miles for transmission problems.
Does anyone have any details on this? Documentation, TSBs?
My '02 is starting to slip at 99,200 miles. I have an appointment to get it in, but I want backup in case the service tech gives me any hassle.
Thanks!

nope, just the 2000 and 2001 models are covered. You may be able to get a partial good will repair on your 2002. It helps to be a regular customer for that though.

Thanks for the info. You are exactly right. In spite of reading many things around the web about the '02's being covered, and the fact that my service advisor thought the 02's were covered, they're not.
And unfortunately, the problem's getting worse. Honda quoted me $2700 for a new tranny, but they can only quote a new Honda transmission, no rebuilts, etc. I'm going to have to shop around.
A little sad that I switched to Hondas after my Ford Taurus tranny died at 99,000 miles, and now this Accord is doing the same thing.
