First I'm still looking to figure out which one I'll buy. I've got the 6 disc in dash CD changer so an FM Mod seems like my only real option since I can't use one of those CD Changer control coverters. I'm leaning towards the pile due to the built in GLI.

I've got these instructions for removing the radio:

I'm assuming I unplug my battery, take out the radio, and then start the install. Question is I'm not sure exactly how to splice in power and ground for the FM Mod properly. Help/pictures?

Thanks.

God I hate to show how stupid I really am. What function will the FM modulator perform? In other words.....what does it do?

It converts an RCA input to an FM signal on a rarely used frequency so you can tune your radio there and pick up your sound. The wireless ones are very prone to interference but wired ones plug into your antenna input directly and bypass the outside antenna when turned on.

usually, the cig lighter is a quick way to grab power. just tap into it, it's pretty easy to get to.

also,

my car is newer ('05) but, ... i have an in-dash changer and the external changer port is still there (and in use for my iPod with a dension ice-link). have you checked?
