1.  Does my 05 lx 5spd have a MAF?
2.  Does anyone know if there are any headers made for my car and if so where to look?

thanx

ok, i answered my 2nd question myself...the MAF question i still unanswered.  My reason being is for a CAI (from what i understand) and a MAF don't like each other, for reasons still unexplained to me.  I read the following statement, but am unsure of its validity, "the 2006 civic si is the first honda to have a MAF".  Anyone know if that is true.   Lastly, are there any issues betweeen the MAP and a CAI?

thanks

It would be easy to find out by opening your hood and taking a look....

hehe, problem with that is i'm in S. Iraq right now with no under the hood pics on my computer...I'm trying to order stuff now so it will be sitting at my house when i go home in a month for leave.

the MAF sensor is in the throttle... yes it has one... Flow meters are not so commonly used now...

pardon my ignorance, but does having a MAF mean not being able to put on a CAI?

so with the MAF in the throttle that means i could use a normal CAI and it wouldn't take away the MAF?

Well that makes sense now!

As far as your MAF, all you need is an intaker, whether CAI or SRI that is MAF compatible.  All of the big name companies should list next to the part whether it can support the MAF or not.

Alright, here's the deal. I drive an 05 ex and yes it has a MAF sensor. Email someone at home, ask the to peek under the hood to confirm. It's simply located on top of the airbox, where the air filter is. If you have a MAF sensor, CAI shopping is easy. Fujita is the only company to make a CAI for our model car with a slot for the MAF sensor. About $200 on ebay new.

Didn't see anyone add this: Thank you for going to Iraq, whether you wanted to or not, I hope to God that you make it home safe.

MAF sensor is located at the top of the throttle tube, the tube that's connected to the engine. It should have 5 lines connecting to the MAF.
If you are trying to instal the performance chip on it, don't lol it messes up your engine.

Performance chip? Like a missing link?

NOTE TO EVERYONE: If you put a chip on any part of the car besides the ECU you are probably doing something very wrong or useless. If you are in fact putting a chip in your ECU it better be something from Phearable, Moates or DIY. You could be very sorry for your $20 "Mugen", "SiR", or "HKS" investment on eBay.

I agree w/ finch, and the missing link is only for turbo cars, i have it and works great, and b4 I got that one i made one myself... w/ 3 fishtank's check valves and it was fun to do!
