I think you probably mean Japanese characters, at least if you are talking about the type that you see on the front of imports here in the states.  If thats what you mean, you can probably find it on eBay.  Like this one:

Eh, that freakin link didnt come out right.  Copy and paste it, or just do what I did, search on eBay for "Japanese license."

I wouldnt recommend it.  It will just bring unwanted attention from police as well as thiefs.

It isnt going to bring any more attention than rims, exhaust, or a body kit.  Dont stress it.

It all depends on where you live.  Here in Oregon the LEO's give tickets for no front license plate.

When did that start?  When I lived in Oregon, I never had a front plate on any of my cars, and I never got stopped for it.  Even when I got pulled over for other reasons, they never said a thing about not having a front plate.  Thats pretty lame of them.

It's been the law for a long time.  I got by with no front plate on my other car for a year, then got stopped by a state trooper and given a ticket for no front plate this past summer (stopped for only the plate).  I agree it's lame.

The dealers here put a plastic plate holder on the front of Accords.  It's screwed into the bumper, then the plate is attached to the holder.

Sane here in IL, 2 plates required.  I really would like to do the Evo license plate thing as I think it looks awesome!  Putting the licences plate on the left or right of the front bumper.  Anyone know of any kits that wouldnt require new drilling?  And something to cover up the whole if I removed the stock brackets.

Oh yeah, one more thing.  You know how people have body kits and then put the plate in their front window?  Would that be legal?  Or would it be one of those things where if you got pulled over, the cop was in a bad mood, and its just one more thing he could give you a ticket for?

I mounted the plate in an offset position on my other car.  Used double sided 3M tape, so no drilling required.  It was a Do It Yourself project.  Am ataching a photo of a mock-up of the brackets used.  The blue tape in the mock-up photo indicates where the double sided tape was used.

That looks really good!  Thanks for the pic!  I just washed + waxed my car and realized my front plate is not drilled into the bumper  So therefore I can remove it w/o having holes!  Now, I just need to figure out how to mount it like yours.  How is it holding up?  Im sure you dont drive your vette on yucky days, unlike my Accord so I think the double sided tape may deteriorate after awhile....hmmm

The plate mount is holding up well.  The Vette was my only car for a year, so it has seen LOTS of rain.  The 3M double sided tape is made for automobile exterior applications (like attaching trim pieces).

Really?  I've never seen that before, where did you get it from, and was it very much?  And, do you by chance know if it will leave a horrible sticky mess, or take off the paint in case you need to remove it?

I put 3M double side tape behind my license plate on the rear of my car, because the sub makes the plate rattle so freakin much.  I got it from Wal Mart, it was only two or three dollars.  I doubt it will take off the paint if you have to remove it, but it will probably leave some sticky.  Goof Off should take that right off though.

Goof Off eh?  Now where can you find something like that?!  haha Just Kidding.   Thanks!  I will def. check into that tape.  Or do you guys know of a better way to mount it?  I plan on doing it just like the Vette in the picture or like the Evos.  Do you guys think it will look ok?  Oh, and will it block to much air from the power steering cooelr or radiator?

I just looked at the tape package...it's called 3M Moulding Tape.  1/2"X60".  It was $4.99 from Napa.  Just heat the tape with a hair dryer and it removes easily.  Using dental floss in a sawing motion between the tape and the paint surface makes the removal easier...thats how I removed the ACCORD emblem from the rear of my Accord.  If any clean-up is necessary, Goo Gone or bug and tar remover works well.
