Right now I have a aftermarket muffler on my car. I was wondering should I get some new piping or a hi flow cat or something, or getting cusotm piping. Or is the muffler just fine and it wouldn't be a big difference?

What is your goal and budget? Some details about your car would help too (year, engine, etc.)

1994 LX. Their really isn't any major goals for it. Just a daily driver. I just wanted to see if this would make a difference in performance and sound.

Bigger piping and a high-flow cat will reduce backpressure. You'll lose low end, but gain high end. Just replacing the stock muffler filled with a gazillion dampers to reduce noise helps greatly. That's what I did.

Get a full catback exhaust over a custom exhaust, it will be easier to work with and take apart if needed in the future. Custom exhausts are usually one piece to save on time for the exhaust shop.

^ If you do that, make sure to ask for mandrel bent piping...it costs more but down the line, you'll thank God you paid for it.
What's mandrel bending you may ask? Well....basically it bends the pipe so it won't collapse/fold unlike traditional methods. An instrument called a "mandrel" (hence the name) is inserted to preserve the pipe's structural integrity. And wha-la! A mighty strong bend is born.
