I would like to get a 1998-2002 Accord for my 16 year old Daughter, I know the body styles are about the same but is there a difference in the years that I should look out for?
Thanks, Dale.

you want the truth?
1. stay away from V6 cars as you will have trans failure. It is not if it will fail but when. You can take a look at my updated trans thread in the off topic area.
2. I4 auto are better but they still have trans issues.
3. I4 stick few issues
00-01 cars are covered under a 7yr/100K powertrain warranty (unless it has a rebuilt/salvage title)
I would get a nice 1997 accord as those auto transmissions will usually last the life of the car (300-450K)
You can also go newer (03+) but be warned, those cars use the SAME 5spd auto that the acura's do and those are not exactly reliable either )although not as bad as the 98-02 cars)

Thank you. I'm geating a 2001 coupe for her with 75,000,00 miles, it has a 4 cylinder motor with a few the options and I hope she will drive it well.
