Hey Guys,
I have a 1990 Accord with a leaking gas tank that has been sitting over the winter and then some.
What do I need to do to replace the tank?
How long does it take on one of these cars?
And I'll probably change the pump while I'm at it, how much work is the pump on these?
And is there any performance pumps or anything I should change to instead of a normal one?
Thanks Guys,
Eric

Not too bad a job. Two straps hold the tank in place. Suggest downloading a 90-93 Accord manual from links on the DIY "Online Manuals" post.
Car will have to be elevated on four jack stands for access to tank. I found a short footstool was handy to "catch" the tank as the straps are released, and to help support tank during installation.
Pump is installed w/ tank out. An OEM pump is best bet, since you don't want to button back up to find the pump was defective.
I would estimate 3-5 hr diy job. I spent probably towards the high end of that on my 94EX fuel pump installation.
good luck
