This is my first post. As mentioned, I have a 2007 5 speed Accord. I was wondering what is the best cold air intake and exhaust for my car? I searched around the forums a bit and found that the Fujita seems to be praised for their CAI's. Where do you guys recommend I get one (ebay I'm assuming) or is there something better out there?
Aslo, how about exhaust? I've seen the Greddy SP2 mentioned here and there. Of course, I want something with the most power gain but at the same time I rather my car have a deep sound rather than a rattling/fart can sound.

Thanks!

In regards to the cold air intake: If you are not in California I would buy a cheepo intake off of eBay (mine is a BomZ) and replace the cheapo filter with a high quality filter such as K&N, Apexi, or AEM.  You get your intake a lot cheaper that way and it will perform just as well as the expensive name brand system.
Exhaust: I don't know first hand, but the ones I hear the most about are: Greddy; Apexi WS2; or Magnaflow - I'm sure there are others out there that are just as good too.

agreed on CAI, that's pretty common discussion on these boards...

As for exhaust, I love my Greddy SP2, and hear the EVO2 is comparable if not identical. I'd suggest those from first hand experience.

agree as well on the cai... as for the exhaust, i rather build one myself... i already made 3 for a RX-7 turbo 93', a mitsubishi eclipse turbo 99', and a suburvan 90ish... (and i still haven't made mine! i've been too busy lately!) it's cheaper and i can make it however i want to... you just need to know how to weld and take good measurements (the rx-7 had too mufflers and it was hard to make the "y" for the split part (hard to get the angles right)... but as for brand-name ones, those work just fine.

these are my 2 cents

Hate to burst your intake bubble, but I suspect the ONLY CAI you can install is the Fujita.  Most likely your 07 has a Mass Air Sensor.  Should be a wire harness running to a sensor sitting on top of the air box (where the stock air filter is).  If you do, you must go Fujita CAI.  It's the only one with a mounting location for the sensor.

Oh wow, thanks a lot for the responses guys.

I'm certain my 07 has a MAF sensor, meaning I will have to get the Fujita. I saw them going for about $225 on eBay. Does that sound about right in terms of price?

@klrspz: Does the Greddy SP2 provide a deep sound? As mentioned before, I really dislike that rattling/fart can sound you see so many ricers have on their civics.

Got my Fujita new on ebay for $175 shipped.  it was a buy it now or best offer scenario.

Unfortunately, I don't have those skills nor do I have the proper tools.

The highest regarded exhaust systems for the Accord are the GReddy SP2 and EVO2 and the Apexi WS2.  The SP2 and WS2 are the same design, flat oval.  The EVO2 is a round can with an offset tip.  The EVO2 is the loudest of the 3, but not overbearing.  I had the WS2 on my V6 and it sounded sweet!  That said, the bass rumble could be fealt throughout my house with the car idling in the driveway.  You couldn't really hear it, but you could feel it.

So would you say, out of experience, that the EVO2 is the least fart can sound of the 3? You see, I am looking for something with a deep note, more akin to the sound a muscle car makes versus the riced up civics on todays streets.

Sorry for having to repeat this question, but I really do dislike the sound of those damn rattling exhausts.

the harsh buzz caused by some cheap systems is mainly due to the lack of resonators or undersizing them.  None of these do that .... they all have resonators.  On Accords, over 3000 rpms, the intake is louder than the exhaust.

KlrSpz has videos of the 3 systems in a link on his signature.  Search for him and follow through his Wiki to the videos.  I have a couple videos on youtube .... you can search there for my screenname.

Sweet, well I got on eBay and was able to lower the price of a Fujita CAI from 205 to 185. Should I bite and purchase it?

One question, when I install the MAF sensor will it essentially be plug and play or will I have to reset the ECU?

Nobody knows?

Not to sound impatient but the offer on eBay is about to run out.

Resetting the ecu is not hard at all.  The MAF should be as simple as removing it from the oem airbox and attacthing it to the Fujita one.  In general, intakes are easy to install and the first mod.

Simply unhook the battery for a few minutes.
