Hello everybody new here to the forums. My name is Quentin I live in Huntsville, Alabama and I started getting interested in accords by a friend of mine that said you could'nt hook a accord up to race on a drag strip. And I think you can so I want to prove him wrong, I am looking at the v6 model it seems like a good platform engine wise. I would love to get the 4 door version I think they look sexy. But just wanted to introduce my self let yall know why I am here

also got a question

1. Are their many performance parts for the v6 engine, I would love to get the car up to 250-300hp ?
2. Do you think I can fit a supercharger on the engine if they have one for it.?

My question to you is, if you are looking for a car for a drag strip. Why are you looking at an Accord? They aren't exactly "race cars" and it's going to cost a LOT of $$$ for you to do it right for it to be your "sexy" daily driver and race car. They aren't exactly the smallest lightweight cars for their power:weight ratio. You should be looking at some rear wheel drive sports cars. I guess we can all dream.

Just my $0.02, don't take offense to anything I say Welcome to the forum.

oh no offense takin it will be a daily driver i just want to race it to, i don't want to make it a full blown drag car i should have explained myself some more.

i just want to take it to the strip every once in a while and run it.

Welcome, and good luck with you point. I hope you do it.

BTW Hondamatic, he wants to prove a point. There are many cars out there far better suited but will not prove the point.

aahhh.. I understand...

Poeple don't like a Lifted 1987 box on 33" tires boosting past them from a redlight.
I went from 2.6l Carbureted 109hp/ 140tq to upwards of about 205-210hp/230 tq with a fuel injected turbo setup and lower compression on my Mitsu SUV.

Sleeper Idea is cool, but I did all that power upgrade on my Montero for mud bogging/offroading

Never really had a sleeper as such. I had a Ford MkIII Cortina with 1600(cc) badges running a 2000 pinto engine. It went reasonably quick to 60 (for the day) but over80 it was pretty poor.

The car was a 1600 originally, but I put a 2000 in on the 1600 running gear which included the brakes!!!

there's one by comptech that should more or less bolt up as far as superchargers go.
