new muffler questions

Does anyone have some suggestions

I don't want to spend a lot. Something with a bit of performance would great. Nothing Loud. I would like to have something suggested by you guys, rather than my mechanic picking out the generic. I was thinking a whle cat back system, but I have a feeling that gets pricey, no?
