I'll add that to the reasons that I don't climb outdoors anymore!
The real reason is that I can't pull close to the rock with my instep since I hurt my knees.
BTW, j_man. The new pic looks sweet!

That is actually a Wallaby - basically a smaller version of a kangaroo. It's an olive python. Still pretty big, but not quite as big as many have labeled it in an email circulated claiming the wallaby in the picture is a full sized cow. Notice the wallaby's hind legs and tail. Also note how short the front legs are.
If I had to guess though, I would still say that snake is between 15 - 20 ft long.
