The best is the one you change on a regular basis along with the oil. You are asking a question that has no real answer. What''''''''s the best chocolate, or car, or brand of clothing? All open to millions of answers, none are right and none are wrong because they are opinions. There is no correct answer.

**Now here is a Brilliant Answer** This is what is expected from a Great Forum Monitor...Thank You Tex...That''''s why I chose you and not someone else....

Hi member:
For instance go to AutoZone right now when your done reading this and pick yourself up a Jug of Castrol GTX and a STP oil filter for only $ 14.99 plus tax...that is a good deal and also good oil.

My opinion and maybe many others might agree..

That is a tough question to answer.  I asked my mechanics and they wont say.  I used Fram mostly, K&N once, and few others brands.  If you can check out the cut-outs of the oild filters on display at certain autoparts stores.  I also attached a magnet on the oil filter too to attract the tiny metal shavings and have noticed that the oil only got dark brown and not black (4k miles oil change) since using the magnet.

I have a K&N filter. I consider it the best because it was the cheapest.
