I just looked at my muffler yesterday and the seam on the side is split wide open, and a hole is starting to form on the bottom. Now the next step. I want to go aftermarket, cheap muffler, and have a shop do the piping. I don't want a cheap sound though. I was thinking Megan Racing or Tsudo, what do you all think?

Megan is a good choice. But although going cheap you can still get a good sound, you need to be careful how cheap you go. YOu could get a great muffler, but have a cheap shop screw up the piping and ruin it all. A muffler can't make a good sound if it can't get enough gas flow to it.

Well today i ordered the megan racing N-1 style muffler and hopefully the muffler shop i take it to will do a good job. My friend took his there and said that he did a great job!

Fart/coffee can....anything N-1 style is I'm afraid.
Blame Apexi/Nissans for starting the trend.

Piping doesnt make all the difference. It makes A difference, yes. But the N1 style mufflers are pretty loud regardless.

I get it put on today, what would you all reccommend, should i go axle back because i think that the stock piping is 2.25" from the axle back but from the cat to the axle is 2.5"!! So i was going to go with the 2.5" piping anyways so is there any reason to not just go from axle back then everything will be 2.5"????? Answers quick please!!!

The stock piping is alot smaler than 2.25. Almsot all aftermarket cat backs for non-turboed cars are 2.25. It is up to you, but remember...check the quality of the piping. If its junk, and its going to rust away in a couple of years...then there isnt a point unles yuo want to keep replacing your exhaust.

^ Is that universal for all N/A cars? So basically, I'm screwed.
Apexi is like 2.36" inlet....crud.

Do you mean stock size, or aftermarket? If you are worried about the inlet, a muffler shop can make it fit to stock piping...they have what are called pipe expanders which can slightly increase a diamter of pipe. Trust me, a good shop will get it to fit no problem.
