You dont need the oil filter adapter. I'd suggest Greddy E-manage in place of the NEO

He could use the adapter to run oil lines to his turbo if he wants. Or....he could use it to run lines to a catch tank and an oil cooler as well as the turbo.

it would just be longer lines then running it from the oil temp to the turbo

I edited my list and deleted the turbo+manifold combo because I found out I have the uneven port (0--0-0--0) and that was an even port design that came with that package. Now I can't find an uneven port manifold. Any suggestions? Also can someone explain where exactly I have to run the oil lines to and from if I don't get the sandwich adapter? Also do I necessarily need a catch tank and oil cooler?Kinda confused

1st, use the oil adapter, i did.... 2nd, the 550cc injectors are too much, try 450cc and it's still a lot... u can purchase eclipse 98-99' turbo injectors, the fit right in! (experience talking) 3rd, The Neo works great for me and its cheaper... make sure u contact me whenever u get that installed to give u my settings so u can use the car, u'll have to dyno it later anyways but u can use the car and run it great w/ the dyno... 4th, the turbo manifold has only one manufacturer and it's on canada... ill try to remember where did i find the manifold...i'll get get back at u asap... and 5th, GOOD LUCK! im here for whatever u need!

not oil cooler, but yes transmission cooler....

Yes transmission cooler if he's got an auto. Definitely. But an oil cooler isn't a bad idea if his turbo is oil cooled.

Kevinaccord, exactly what type of turbocharger did you go with? Can you post a link to it? Also guys i'm still coming up empty searching for a manifold....Any suggestions?

T3/T4 turbo ball bearing.... great turbo.... T3 hot air(exhaust) and T4 cold air(intake)....

the manifold will depend on the turbo ur getting man... after u decide, then check the flange size (t3, or t4) mine was the t3 flange (hot air/ exhaust)
im looking for the one i've bought
whenever i find the one i've bought ill post it...
good luck!
and sir_nasty, that's not the manifold cause it's not uneven.. it should be 0-00-0
not 0-0-0-0...

Yeh i'm gonna call around Monday or Tuesday and make sure the manifolds on these sites i'm looking at has the uneven port design.
KevinAccord, where did you get your turbo and how much did it run you if you don't mind me asking?

well, i bought it from a friend using eBay, since he placed it there... (he lives in California and I live in Puerto Rico so its a long distance) it was brand new and it costed me about $235... there again my friend did me a favor... but ill try to look one up and see if i can post the link...
P.S: remember to look for the uneven port on the manifold!

Just wondering, what are the advantages of both internal/external wastegates????? I see that most of Garretts turbos have internal wastegates. From my understanding, external wastegates are really only needed on cars pushing high psi for better airflow.

Advantages of an internal wastegate is that from an installation point of view, they are simpler. Limits are that internal wastgates will become ineffective much beyond 10psi tops, and it can be harder to adjust the boost levels. Advantages of an external are the fact that they can handle much more boost, and can be easier to adjust. Downside is they tend to have a more complicated install. If you are going low boost, an internal will work just as good for you as an external, and would be cheaper too.

well, i got an external and it wasn't hard to install, there again, that was my case... and it sounds cool when it opens!!!! hahaha...
Shadow: if u don't mind me asking, how much did u spend on "massively" modifying ur H22? (just an aprox) if it was too much just say "too much".
and another question... if i switch my F23 head to an H22 head, will i be able to push more psi?

Total spent on modifying the engine was about $15k Problem with with trying to get a lot of power, is that the more you get, the more it costs to get a little more. Changing your head will change the top of the combustion chamber, and of course the dimensions and shapes of the valves and intake and exhaust channels, but the real important thing to making more boost is the cylinder walls, your crankshaft, and your rods.

Thanks for the info and links guys. KevinAccord, are you sure that is uneven port? I guess i'm gonna call em because I cant tell by the pic.. Also, I think i'm gonna go external wastegate for more adjustabilty, etc.

that one is an uneven port, i bought that one from there, also got all the extras from them, bolts gaskets and what not

yeap! it's an uneven 4 sure! go for it man, it looks kool, but ask first, just in case... and Shadow, just one thing, WOW! what do u think i should do 2 get mine pumped up? i would really apreciate any help u can give me... thanxs!
