hey guys my friend is buying an 88 prelude only mod i know of is magnaflow exhaust and possible intake not turboed or anything and hes been talking alot of crap saying it will be faster then my family sedan. what do you guys think my mods are in my sig

Ummm...you drive a V6 Accord...any 6 cylinder accord is notoriously fast. i remember seeing a stock accord go 0-60 in 6 seconds.

Stereo equipment will have to be thrown out to make it Quicker...
 
Welcome to the forums...

The 88'' prelude when it came out  had substantially more horsepower  and was Hondas sportier sporty car. It also was equiped with a DOHC engine and could actually back up its aggressive looks with 14o H.P. underneath theat hood . Good match up engine back then...tired Engine at this stage of this game..

5th gen V6s are slower than death.  they run the same 1/4 as the 5th gen 4cyl ex

How did you get it to do it in 6 flat?  Mine does it in 7.8 (and thats with a sri).
 
Maybe silver is a slower color?

Anyways, what did you do man? is your tranny ok?

Could be my tranny..  She''s got 115k on her, but she sounds alright!  In the morning she''s a bit bumpy and slow to shift, but isn''t that a bit expected?
 
I thought 6th gen V6''s were always supposed to be 8 sec cars...  Am I wrong?

mine can do it in like 7.1 or 7.2

Could also be the weight difference...  You have a coupe, but mine''s sedan.  But still, .8 seconds?  How do you guys do it!
