i have a 97 accord which was on the honda care program for 7yrs/100k miles. the front engine mount was replaced 3 years ago however the rear engine mount was not replaced yet. the cost is roughly 600 bucks i think. But i was wondering if this would be a big concern??

Holy Cow ,,,,,,, 600 dollars is way, way, way too much..........First off is it AT OR 5 SP ?? 4 or 6 cylinders
Actually input that on your signature so we all can see ,, thanks..

anyho,,, it is very big concern to replace the rear motor mount , if you don't , you will experience shaking and it will also put more stress on the other mounts which means they will break a lot sooner than normal..

here is a picture of the mount and how much it costs,, rear mount is # 3 ,,, i input for car with AT, 4 cylinders ...........labor cannot be more than 2.5 hrs sp depends on what they charge per hr , add it to the mount ..

Ask them why so much money...

it is not 600 dollars ,, it is however 400 something ,,, a new mount alone is over 200 dollars ......
if you plan on selling the car see if you can locate a used mount .local salvage yard . might save you quite a bit of $$..
