Rim and tire size ?

Will 18x7.5 rims with 225/40/18 tires work if my car is lowered 2.5 in on drop springs?

It depends on the offset .... I'd expect a 40-45 would, but you should check with the calculator that is in the sticky under wheels and tires.  You might have to roll your fenders with that much drop.
