My rims keep bending because I beleive my tires are not thick enough to provide a cushion for the rim. The rims I have are Excel C5. The tires I have now are Nankang NSII 215/35/18. I wanted to know what size tire u guys recommend so that my rims do not keep getting bent.

are you driving some really nasty roads or something? or are they cheap rims? that tire does sound a bit low but I've never seen one that is a cheap enough rim to make it a constant issue....

yeah the roads in the DC area arent that great and my rims were 420 for all four.

are they steel? it's almost impossible to bend an aluminum rim, they will crack before they bend in most circumstances

so aluminum rims are stronger than steel rims?

generally speaking they do not bend but instead will crack and that take a rather hard impact (like hitting another car) they are usually heavier and thicker as well

Yeah DC roads are pretty hard on rims...are you lowered any? Might wanna try a lil bigger tire or different rims cause they gonna get ate up around here with those bands (killed rims on my minitruck with 215/40/17's way too often lol)
