shift stick....

the center console where the shift stick is, is kind of coming up on one side a bit....if i push it down, it'll stay down for a second but then pops right back up...is there anything i can do to keep it down.....

try posting up pics, so we can visually see what you are talking about..

Please post you year/model/trim/engine in your signature so we know which Accord you are talking about. It sounds like the adhesive on the trim has lost it's stickiness. You could try some sort of liquid adhesive and hold it down with some books while it dries.

broken clip?

sounds to me like a broken clip. They may be fastened with adhesives in addition to clips, but interior panels are removable, thus the glue is just a precaution, like toyota's and loctite...
Or it was disassembled and wasnt put on correctly, there might be something like a wire holding it up.

If it's a broken clip, either get a new one or use double sided tape to get it down.
