Same. It looks really odd and I don't know why it's connected to the engine like that. It almost looks like a second air box... anywho, that's not the location of the resonator. The resonator is the big plastic box in front of your passenger side wheel in the bumper...the air box you removed has a pipe that goes straight down into it.

It does look like a second filter/air box.. odd...
yeah most resonators i've seen are way bigger than that, and in the bumper for our cars... but what do i know

No, that is not the resonator.
The resonator is above the splash shield, behind the bumper, same as a 6th gen.
Although my car has that box, there are no tubes going to it. It is something specific to the F22B1 w/ ABS, both me and finch have a box but it has no vacuum tubes going to it...
and btw, it is actually UNDER the intake manifold, its bent back in that picture.
unless were talking about a different box AGAIN :(
and sorry falkore, but i cant really help that much.

Ok i went to the honda dealer it is a resonator that is designed to keep moisture out of the intake system since the system is originally a fully sealed system and since i have most of it taken out it is pointless to continue to use the box. It also controls the egr valve and vent but by plugging the vaccum lines at the box with a screw then the egr and egr air vent will work correctly so the tech says we will see tomorrow well today if i feel like working on it again in the dark
