the differences between chrome and stainless steel headers.
i didnt ask about ceramic because it seems too cheap... and doesnt look as good

What Is Your Point Thunder..I have Ceramic and they are very nice looking and work quite well...

i only said they seem cheap cause i read from a site
" Ceramic headers are less expensive, but are prone to cracking if they get to extremely hot."

ceramic headers dissipates heat unlike ss. the only way you can get it to very high temps is by fi like nitrious.

what if you live in a hot area?
wouldnt that also raise the temperature of your headers?

not to the pont where they would crack. you have to get them to an extremely high temp

so if i got a ceramic header with a coating like black on it, then it would work just as good as stainless steel?
with no differences in power gains?
im gonna be running my car naturally aspirated

if you are going to coat it, coat it with something that will not rust the ceramic headers. i forgot what the substance was called. coat it before bolting it on. also there is barely any difference in performance between ss and ceramic. i chose cermaic because it didnt absorb that much heat as ss did and it was hard finding a ss header that was carb legal.
