I have a 2003 LX with the bare bones cd/stereo. I like the steering wheel mounted controls. To get the same results out my stereo, is it as simple as finding a donor wheel and just plugging in the sound control thingy in my steering wheel?

if you have the stock stereo system and your car came with the steering controls as an option then chances are you can get the steering wheel and the wiring harness and be good to go... The biggest issue you are going to run into is moving the airbag... I'd be very cautious about it but you should be able to get it to work...
