My car is having some problems...........well has been for a while. between 2-3k RPMs the tach has a twich, not all the time, but most of the time. Just recently the car started to jerk during somewhat heavy acceleration(by no means full throttle, but faster than average).
Yesterday on the way home from the track it got extreme(i didnt race just showed). I was cruising at highway speed(70mph) and occasionly(few times a minute) the tach would drop to zero for a second and the car would get the jerk again. this seemed to usually be when i let off the throttle.
however shortly after this the car completely fixed itself(still on the highway didnt stop at all). the tach didnt twich, would rev all the way to 8,000rpm no problem.............but a few hours later it was back to doing its twitch
Also from 5-8k the car/tach is all kinds of messed up up. once you hit vtec the tach is all over the place, and the car doesnt really seem to rev out as fast as it used to.
This started a few weeks after my engine swap(have a h22a4 with a chipped obd1 ecu with a basemap).
The car is going to the dyno tomorrow so some fast help would be greatly appreciated

What year of accord are you talking about? Did your check engine light turn on, and are there any codes stored in the ECU?
The tach signal is generated from the ignition control module on the 4 cylinder accords. You should check that the connections at the ICM are clean and secure. Also check the connectors for the distributor.
EDIT: By the pics of your car you are driving a 96-97 4 cylinder. Did you have to change any wiring for the distributor or ECU when you did the engine swap?

i had to solder the wires for the distributor myself, i wiggled them all and had my friend watch the tach and no such luck.
the check engine light is not on.
I am in the process of checking the connections in the distributor

I have a 95 Accord 4cylinder with the same problem. Did you find the problem with the erratic tachometer that you are experiencing?
