timing belt change.

Just for informational purposes in case any one needs a refereence point.

my 2000 accord lx 3 litre v6, timing belt, ac pulley belt, alternator belt and water pump just changed out at 117k.
all original belts were in pretty good shape and i beleive could have had some more miles under their belts, pun intended, i live in the us notheast so seasonal conditions applied.

total cost 719 bucks 395 of it in labour..

WOW!!!! thats alot the dealer did all of mine for 450 i dont know if they changed the alternator belt though i just oknow they cahnged the timing belt , the balancer belt and water pump

yeah tell me about it, i checked around though, all the shops were giving me the same ball park figure, that life in the northeast, a little pricier for everything i think

anyhow - it's good that you did that , in comparison to rebuilt head is over 2000 bucks

i hear you evlampius, it just set me back a little with the other mods i want to do, but yeah i has a pontiac grand am that blew the timing belt and messed up my engine, had the sucker rebuilt, never felt the same power after that though.. then i swithced to honda!!
