I think you just have to much love for the J-series.

Finch:  Evo and STI both are turbo-charged.
HPJ:  Over 20% better power to weight with a better drivetrain to get it to the ground is a kill IMO.  My bad, the Accord vs. Corvette comparison was ziggy's not yours.

yeah well i understand your point about the S2000.thats my 2nd favorite honda car, but all i'm saying is i think the accord would at least go down fighting..............the accord is an underestimated car.people don't see the potential they have.i love accords.J SERIES RULE! F Series rule TOO!

The J-series is weak sauce IMO. My old F22B2 with low compression and an auto could take a J-series any day. That 3.5 liters is only good for gas guzzling.

really??well actually its believable because F22's are one of the best F series motor's in the honda line. but i think the J32A6 or J32A8 would give you a serious run for your money..especially the A8 with a 6 speed..true you'd beat a J30A1,A2,and maybe the J32A1....but A2 and up on the J32's,well damn i'd like to see that...i'd pay money.

J series has a ton of potential, but until the 7th gen, I don't think the car was built properly to handle the V6 engine.  Also, there is very little support for it since Honda mainly makes 4's.

Finch, I used to love smoking older accords with my V6!!!

The engine I beat was a J35A3: 265hp, 253 tq. It was the MDX in the my sig :-D. That particular engine has tremendous torque up to 2500 rpm and then the curve flattens. It has no pull above 50 MPH, I hate it! Even the hp-to-weight ratio doesn't play out right. In my old Accord I was at 22 lbs per 1 hp, the MDX only has 17 lbs per 1 hp. It should have whooped me. I can't speak for the J35A3 in the TL-S though...

the TL-S is pretty powerful machine and a nice tone to go with the accelaration, sounds relatively similiar to the G35 just a little more quiet and smooth and you only hear it during accelaration. but i rode in a 2002 and 2007 and the suspension on the 2002 feels much better, the 07 seemed a little rough when hitting bumps..

Motor Trend ran a 14.0 @ 102.5 in the 08' V6 6-spd Accord Coupe and i dont recall ever seeing an S2000 1/4 time in the 13 second range and im sure if it was, it would be high 13.8 or 13.9...  i think this race would be alot closer then the nay-sayers are claiming

From Road & Track:

We were able to record 0–60-mph acceleration of 5.9 seconds and the quarter mile in 14.5 sec. at 99.8 mph.

so...  because R&T ran a 0-60mph of 5.9 and a 1/4 mi of 14.5 @ 99.8mph, Motor Trend didn't run a 0-60mph of 5.7 and a 1/4 mi of 14.0 @ 102.5mph?

not at all ..... just pointing out that MT isn't posting a common time for the car.

maybe the R&T isn't a common time...  in fact, i think that R&T time is the slowest i've seen for a 6spd V6 Coupe

Car and Driver did 0-60mph in 5.6 and the 1/4 mi in 14.2 @ 102mph...  sounds like R&T wasn't finding the right shift points after launch.

either way, back to the original argument, i think these figures prove the 08' V6 Coupe w/ a 6spd wouldn't get "killed" or "demolished" by an S2000
