This sound starting coming after I took off a silencer I had on my muffler which I kept on for about a month. Usually when I start to accelerate at a medium acceleration, I hear this annoying sound from my muffler, almost like it's choking. And it sounds pretty bad. I don't know if it's coming from my muffler, but there's a good chance that it is because I'm hearing it from that area of the car, and also, the pipes shouldn't really make that sound, right?

I'm thinking that my muffler might be a POS muffler. Do you think replacing it with a Megan or Ractive would do any better?

Get new piping? The N1 is a brute though....kinda in the ranks of the fartcans.

Try oval cans like Apexi WS2, etc.

Yeah I was looking into this Megan Racing N1 universal exhaust.

But if the cause of this ugly sound is from the fact that I currently have an N1 exhaust then I'd be wasting money with this Megan, it will probably sound the same or just barely better.

This is what I have on now:

This ugly sound comes randomly. It never comes if I'm standing still and revving my car up as high as 6rpms. I only hear it when I'm accelerating at various paces. It comes at low, medium, and high acceleration rates. For some reason, it's not as loud when the car is warm.

Worst case scenario, I'll have to get an entirely new catback system (keep my magnaflow cat), with new piping, probably stainless steel.

No offense, but both of those mufflers are fartcans. As I said before....go with an oval can (more stock looking and much quieter but still gains in performance)

the increased back pressure from the silencer may have worn out the "batting" in the muffler more quickly.  Those mufflers will work with a silencer but are designed for stand alone use so introducing other parts to them can make a difference... you could always try calling the manufacturer and asking them if it's normal.
