I want to get some opinions before I do this. I'm aware that I'm adding a little weight to the wheels, but I'm hoping that the extra tread will be worth it.
I'm considering replacing my tires with 225/60R15's. The stock size is 205/65R15.
This won't throw off my speedo enough to care.

I had posted tire comparison data but it was too long in the forum post format.

Exactly what I was thinking ..... but then, why don't more people make this change???
Please do me a favor and remove all of the blank lines so it's easier for others to look through this thread. I'd appreciate it!
FYI - I also looked into 235/55R15, but that size doesn't seem to exist.

it was good data sno, I just wanted you to remove the spaces to make it easier to read ......
for anyone else, here's the info:
Stock size: 205/65-15
Sidewall: 5.2"
Radius: 12.7"
Diameter: 25.5"
Circumference: 80.1"
Revs/mi: 791.0
New Size: 225/60-15
Sidewall: 5.3"
Radius: 12.8"
Diameter: 25.6"
Circumference: 80.5"
Revs/mi: 787.0
The speedo will read 0.5% slow. When the speedo reads 60 mph, the car will be moving 60.3 mph

They're installed and a little wide, but I kinda like them. I have to be easy on them for a little bit to wear off the silicone coating before testing them. Who thinks I can hit 1.0 g's now?!? I hit 0.95 with my Yoko's and now I have almost 4 inches more rubber on the ground!

I'm not going to push the new tires hard for another week or so since they are not broken in yet and still have the mold silicone on them. I liked the Yokos, but I had the AVS db S2's that have a dual depth rain channel design, 2 per tire ...... all 8 rain channels developed a crack all of the way around the tire! That's the main reason that I changed them ..... they still had decent tread, but I didn't feel safe with the crack. They were stock size on stock rims .... 205/65-15. My Nankangs are 225/60-15's.
