I've got an unmodded 2002 v6 accord 4dr at home. What would the best starting mod be to put onto it?

starters is usually air intake, headers, and exhaust. so give that a shot. what are you looking for this car to be? Daily driver? or rocket ship?

What would be a good brand to be looking at for a Cold air intake? Pros and cons for other brands?

AEM, Injen, K&N are all top-tier brands.
AEM has graphs to back up their product, Injen has quality parts and ingenious instructions, K&N is pretty sweet performance.
Owners have ranked AEM as #1....but between the three, you'll be happy with either.

So say i go with the AEM cai. Would it be a bad idea to super charge the intake?

I don't know about superchargers...but if you want to turbo your car, I suggest you stick with the SRI. Since the compressor is adjacent to the engine block...the air is heated anyway negating any benefits of the CAI.

I've heard from someone before that turbo charging the accord would be a bad idea. I really dont get it. How or why would this be a bad idea?

Well....ususally when you turbo something its for a little more of a thrill which causes more hard driving which will shorten the engine life. You can turbo a stock motor up to 6ish psi pretty safely. Its also hard on trannies too if you have an auto

Depends on how strong the stock block is. Few have managed to run over 20 psi of boost...
I remember the ultimate block: The Eagle/talon/Old Ellicpse block. Tuners have reported to run up to 65 psi of boost. Engine block never cracked even after driving for 10000 miles. It was the beast.

it is a bad idea to turbo a 6th gen v6 accord since the tranny is not strong enough to withstand the boost. if you do boost it, the max you could probably boost is about 6psi.
