what size door speakers will fit?

I have a 1990 honda accord ex sedan. My front speakers stopped playing and I need to replace them. (I have an aftermarket h/u)

What size speaker will fit right into the stock locations?? (I'm replacing the dead stock ones with a set of component speakers.

They will let you put in your car info and tell you what size speakers your car uses.

I've tried that over 1 month ago, no they don't they give you the size for the deck speakers only, NOT door speakers

Im thinking 5 1/4 if im not mistaken.

Lol, I'm very shocked I cant find an answer to this question.... on a honda accord forum no less

I called acouple of honda dealers in my area and they SWEAR it calls for a 5" speaker. (160 bucks for a pair of speakers that can handle 15 watts, WHAT a ripp off)

Are there any 1990 accord ex drivers out there.. FIRST hand experience is best... please

u can get 6.5 in there i have them in my accord i have the pioneer 4 ways in there

I"m just going to go into a stereo shop near me.. This is really quite sad.. you got 6.5's in there?

Nowhere I've looked says 6.5's will fit... The best site to date is sounddomain.com they say 5.25's in the front and 6x9's in the back..
