hi, i had a question regarding a tuneup for a 1999 accord ex 4 cylinder. plugs have been changed, but i am still on the original ignition wires, and i wouldn't be surprised if the distributer cap has never been changed. where would be the place you would recommend for a tuneup? i have done almost all my servicing at the dealer, once or twice i got an oil change at this shop which does a decent job.

problem with the dealer is they like to recommend those 125,000 mile services or certain mileage services. i have around 125,500 miles on the car. it was driven quite a bit by others before i had it. i have also exclusively run bg44k after changing the oil, and that has helped.

how often on the air filter as well? last time i put an stp air filter in it.

any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

at 125 i would change the wires cap and rotor, but im sure it could run longer. its a small price to pay for piece of mind

I would take the time to buy your own parts and just do your own tune up my friend...this way you can say you did it yourself and that will give you a big shot of Love for your Honda Car.

Give it a try...and you'll feel great.
