Well, I'd say turbo for a few reasons: It's more efficient than the supercharger. I believe the roots style is 50%-ish whereas the turbo is in the mid 70s. This is important since the hotter the intake charge, the less dense it is=less power. Also, higher temperatures can bring about detonation. Secondly, the horsepower gain you get from a turbo will be safer than the equivalent nitrous shot. If you install and tune a turbo right you can still expect about 90% of the engine life. Lastly, I personally just like the design of a turbo and love that well known sound of the bov.

So, if your motor is in good shape, I'd go turbo. If not, perhaps do a swap for a newer one (or an H22) or rebuild the internals?

I voted N/A because I think with some added bolt-on's my V6 should do just fine.

If you didn't know, I had a 1990 Toyota Tercel before I got my car, so it is WAY faster, better handling and better looking than my Tercel-from-Hell.

Besides, with rising gas prices, I want to keep the best MPG as possible.

Now if money was no problem, and gas was cheap, I'd probably would go with a Comptech S/C.

plus theyre quieter too. having the motor i have i chose NA. but i can go either way still with the mods i have, and as gas prices go up, my ambitions for making it faster go down. i would still like a tune though.

Man.  Talk about bringing back an old thread...  lmao.

When I originally got my car, I was all about an H22 swap.  And then after I joined this forum and got to thinking about it and armed myself with more info, I decided I wanted to rebuild and turbo my F22B.  But lately I have been thinking about the best of both worlds, rebuilding an H22 specifically for turbo...  Whatever, eventually this car WILL have a turbo lol.

Since my car has to many miles the turbo and supercharger are out of question. I would most likly go with h22 and keep my main bolt ons.

Too many miles?  Thats crazy talk.  Just a little bit of refreshing for your engine, and its good to go for turbo.

i agree, my engine has 112,000miles and today i started working on the turbo (one of the manifold's bolts broke on the inside of the engine, can't get it out!)
