Happy birthday dude!  Get yersef somethin' nice!  FTW!!
I bet most of us would not participate in a truthful political discussion-too much temptation to incite the "opposition" and play devil's advocate.
D D is an acceptable candidate for sure.

Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) from "Clear and Present Danger".

And while we're at it, from the same movie, get John Clark (Willem Dafoe) on board the ticket for VP.

Sounds like a dream ticket but dont forget that Jack Ryan is SIR Jack Ryan so once again you would be ruled by British aristocracy [the story about Irish terrorists]

Well, because I live in Canada, I'm already ruled by you know Her.

Anyway, if you wanted to kill any hope of Jack becoming CEO, pointing out that he is part of the Biritish aristocracy is the perfect way to do it.  Too bad.  The cat is out of the bag and it is going to be mighty tough getting it back in there.

I find it interesting that in some of the Jack Ryan movies there are two villains, and one of them is on "our" side.  In the case of "Clear and Present Danger", I thought that the latter bore an uncanny resemblance (in attitude, if not in action) to his present real-life counterpart.

(I cannot resist a bit of OT here.  I think that one would be well-served to ask oneself which of the real-life candidates most resembles Jack Ryan and, regardless of whether one believes that that person is "electable", vote for that person in the upcoming election.  I guess hoping for that is futile, but I cannot help wondering how voters would vote if they went to their voting booths not knowing the results of "surveys" or "polls"  that had been conducted within a year of election day. Wouldn't it be just awful having to choose a candidate not knowing who's "ahead" - having to cast one's ballot based solely on what the candidates had said?  What function, or exactly whom, do these last-minute polls serve, anyway?)

I can't bring myself to listen to what politicians say.  Ever see "A Clockwork Orange" or read the book?

ummmmm    who cares?  no one is actually voting based on potential value of the candidate in this up coming election....    especially when you see crap on the news like "black women have a difficult choice on this years presidential primaries, because the are torn between voting to have a black man or a woman running"     all i have to say is what a load of F'ing crap....   im sorry but if thats the choice of how black women are going to vote they need to step away and not vote at all....  why?   cause they are about as informed about the best presidential candidate as that corpses that vote each election

ummmm ...... I think your comments are more rightfully directed at the media that claims that these are the reasons for a black woman's vote.  There are informed voters, mis-informed voters, un-informed voters and non-voters in all categories.  I regularly work with genious level people of all backgrounds, races and creeds --- minorities are more common in my line of work.  I also see some of the dumbest people from all walks of life, and guess what, the social majority makes up the majority of these people!  We all generalize and stereotype to some degree, but in this case we have to put blame where it is due.

The media always is to blame with things like that.... but the problem is they always find the people to prove what they are saying and show them on tv.    Personally, i blame white people in the end
