Windshield Wipers Banging

My 2000 accord has 130,000 miles on it.  The windshield wipers make a loud banging noise when returning to park.  Any ideas how to fix this?

same problem on my accord. i took off the regulator and found alotof wear. and also the link wasbroken causing the arm to move too far.

it''s possible the arms were replaced and not re-aligned correctly. The end of the arm fits on a gear, you can remove them and put them back on one tooth from where they are now. that might help.
