I have this carbon fiber wing on my 99 accord and I'm having mixed feelings about it. Half the people who comment on my car like it and half hate it. I just wanted to get you guys opinions on what I should do. Leave it or take it off? -I painted over one off the pics to give you an idea of how it woud look both ways-

Off.  If you really want a wing/spoiler, go with something that looks like it belongs to the overall design of the car instead of something that was obviously tacked on.

Dude leave it on... that wing makes ur car even better.... matches your hood great... taking it off would be a big mistake and i personally think that body kit is too aggressive to not have SOME kind of wing... if i were u i would be more worried about making your tint 5% to match ur CF and ur wheels... nice motegi rims BTW... check out my ride in post "my updated baby" we have alot of the same tastes i believe... have u put on that turbo yet???

It definately stands out. I like something a little more subtle. But it still looks good.

I agree with this part of his statement.  However, I do think that the wing you have on there is a little big.  Im not a fan of big wings though.  Really it all comes down to what you think of it, youre the one who has to live with it.

I like it.  I agree that it goes well with the hood and your body kit.  I think its fine, but if it was a little shorter it would probably look a little "cleaner".  But if you leave it how it is....it still makes me drool!

If its a 3 piece wing, you could always take it off, remove the brackets, and put it on some small pieces of wood or something to see how it would look if it was lower.  Seems like a lot of work though! lol

I think your car looks better in the pic with the wing "off."

Thanks for all your opinions and compliments! I'm gonna try to find some shorter legs for the wing so it doesn't sit so high. If anyone knows of any sites that carry these legs please let me know.

i honestly think the wing completes the overall look of your car but it can be lower

also i dont really know what theyre called or even the purpose but you should try those lil cf things that go on the bottom of your bumper too i think that might match the wing too

just my 2 cents

my attempt to lower the wing for visual aid  (probably not positioned correctly)

Now that looks good.  If you could get color matched or CF covers for the legs of the wing, even better.

I like the wing, but personally on the newer accords at least, i think that the stock spoiler looks great and sporty.  But it is a sweet spoiler!!

Thanks for giving me a picture of what it would look like lower HUYNHESS. And yes I am planning on getting a carbon fiber splitter to put under the front lip. What do u guys think of getting a carbon fiber trunk for my car. That way I could leave the wing on this trunk and swap trunks every week! HAHA. I know that carbon fiber trunks are pretty expensive too.

no problem anything to help a buddy

wouldnt it be a little time consuming swapping your trunk every week? haha it would be cool though

would you jsut leave the cf trunk wingless?

hmmm if you get a cf trunk and you have that cf hood im thinking a black roof would kinda cool somewhat like the full glass roofs on some cars nowadays

Hey J_man, where did you get your carbon fiber parts of your car, like what company makes them lol? Also, I'm wondering because I also have a 1999 Accord, but mine is an Lx and a sedan. The rear portion of your car looks really different then mine though, you wouldn't happen to know why would you? Maybe it's because your car is a coupe... I dunno lol. But yeah man, I've never really found a good source for cf for my model, but you seem to have better than I, any advice you could offer I would greatly appreciate! Also, I too like the wing a little shorter, but it does help the aggressive stance of your car, so I think I would keep it.

I got the hood from andysautosport.com.  Here is the link: http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/1998_2002_accord/exterior/hoods/carbon_fiber_hoods/erebuni/  It is an EREBUNI hood which is one of the highest quality brandnames that you can buy. Here is the same hood at the erebuni company(more expensive): http://www.erebunicorp.com/accesscustom/haccord98.htm. I cant remember where I got the wing from I will have to do some research and find out.
