wont start in hot weather

today it was probably 85 and raining so i couldnt put the windows down. went out to start the car after work and all it would do is turn over as if it wasnt getting fuel or spark. the kid i bought it from had this problem last summer but this is the first for me. i usually put the windows down halfway through the day so it doesnt get so hot. any
 
any ideas would be appreciated thanks

Main relay comes to mind when you say the cabin was really hot.
 
Some have bad solder joints, if you know how to solder it's easy to fix them.

will it still turn over if the main relay isnt working??

If the main relay was bad, the starter would still turn over the engine.  The main relay switches the fuel pump (among other things) so it wouldn't get any fuel.

It's a little weak about exactly where to find it, but Honda always seems to put the main relay sorta above the driver's left kickpanel.

Main relay is the problem.  I had it happen to my 90.  If you it happens and you are in a pinch, turn the car on and crank the engine and at the same time pop the underside of the dash with your palm, sometime that will switch the relay to get it going.  I bought a new one from Honda because if happened to my wife and lets just say she wasn't happy.  I think it was like $135 bucks from Honda though.
