So i place an order for stainless steel braided brake lines a few weeks ago. I noticed that the kit said 4 lines, Rear Disc. Ok cool. Then i looked around on another site and it said 6 lines, rear disc. What does that mean? Does that refer to the engine, ie v6 or i4. Because when i searched for the brake lines for my car, they gave me limited choices. I also saw a kit for a camero thats 5 lines.
Someone please help. thanks

perhaps ones for an abs system and one isn't? did you notice a difference in the two? I'd say just go look at your car and see how many you can actually replace.

There should only be 4 hoses; one for each corner. That's the same for ABS & non-ABS systems.
The rear brake hoses are different for the disk vs. drum brakes. As a V-6 car, yours has disk brakes. But maybe(?) some places package both types of lines together? Sounds kinda wasteful to me but I don't know??

Call and verify. Is the 6-line kit a bit more expensive than the 4-line set? I imagine what the two extra lines are for unless they are nice and provide you with a replacement for front and rear....
