Damn, with the exception of a few, we got a bunch of youngins in here.

Age is not an important matter, not all "youngins" are inexperienced idiots... I believe I have a pretty good knowledge of cars and turbos... I know many make stupid comments and they don't search, ect... but don't generalize... My parents never gave me $ for my car, I had to buy it myself and build it on my $. Now my dad helps me as a distraction after what happened on Feb. But no $...

Don't be so rude man... at least with those who have been here for a while now... I know you have tons of knowledge and I always read your posts, and learn a lot...
Sorry if this comment seems harsh... not my intention.
Thank you for your understanding

I commented on age only, not exactly sure how thats rude as I made an observation. You obviously have some other issue about it, your immature response speaks it loudly.

Why are your posts over at 6GA all happy-go-lucky, but when you come over here they are all blunt, snide comments towards people's intelligience? Also, I don't see how any of that post could be considered as immature. In fact, it actually shows maturity in that he's expressing an opinion without cutting others down and keeping his cool.

My posts, despite what forum they occur on, are always in the same happy-go-lucky mood. If its ever not, its when I answer the same question 30,000 times and someone doesnt take the time/effort to look for the answer and they want it spoon fed to them. Whatever information and knowledge I have, is b/c I looked it up, got some hands on experience, or asked the right questions. No one spoon fed it to me and I'm not about to do the same for them.

When/where exactly have I made any snide comment about anyone's intelligence?

First I said this - "Damn with a few exceptions in here, we got a bunch of youngins in here"

That was nothing more than an observation of what people put at their ages. I wasn't aware everyone in here was so young. You, KevinAccord, whoever, please explain to me how that was in anyway....rude or judgemental to anyone's intelligence. I'm still unsure how making an obvious observation is considered rude. Did I say anything about anyone on here being stupid b/c they were young? No....

If you guys had any kind of issue with how I respond on here, there's a pm box for a reason.

Kevin I think you read a little to far into what I said as some kind of insult, which as I've stated several times now, wasn't, and not sure how you even got any kind of an insult out of that.

I think its a great car, handles great, F22C is an amazing motor, and looks good.  However I think that its a tad bit expensive and for that price would rather have a older NSX than a new S2000 CR.

1. It is a good sports car for what it is and can do, but for the person out there than can really afford one (new) that buyer could also afford something more like a Lotus. Honda is and has always been about (IMO) cheap, reliable, power in their cars. It has a great engine and an awesome chassis. Its only a 4cyl and puts out almost as much HP as some V6's while still getting decent gas mileage for a sports car.

3. 25

i thought you were older then that. you young yourself.

No, I think he meant the F22C1 which is in all 2004+ S2k's

Yeah, they increased the displacement but didn't rename it to S2200.

The 2000 in S2000 doesn't have anything to do with the displacement. It's all about Honda's 50th:

That's not exactly true.  Yes, it was introduced in 1999 as a 2000 year model as a celebration of Honda's 50th anniversary, however you need to know (as Paul Harvey would say) "The rest of the story...." The S500 had a 500 (531) CC motor, the S600 had a 600 (603) cc motor and the S800 had, you guessed it, a 800 (791) cc motor.  So when the S2000 came out, obviously, it came out with a 2000 (technically 1997) cc motor.  With the research I have done, the displacement IS the reason for the name.  It was paying homage to not only Mr. Honda and what he believed 50 years earlier, but also to the original RWD, convertible, two seat Honda's from years past.

The idea of the F22c being put in and Honda not changing the name has stuck in my craw since the day it happened.  Thus my signature over there is :

I know for a FACT that the last year of production of the S2000 is 2003!!!!!

After that, it will be the S2200 under an assumed name."

The Book "Honda S2000" by Daniel F. Carney is VERY informative (if you can find one) and a great read for any Honda fan.

I stand corrected. i didn't even know there were other S models, but of course, you own one and like most of us, research the cars we own. An S2k is waaay out of my budget at this point in life so I haven't cared enough to drool over forbidden fruit. Very interesting though.

When I was in college there was one at school; I think it was an S800 like this.

I didn't know much about it...  Saw it driving around campus occasionally but I didn't know the guy.

Wikipedia says it's DOHC with  9500rpm redline.  Pretty radical for the late 1960s.

I guess the heritage is in name & spirit.  Honda went for a REALLY long time without any roadsters at all.

You have to love 237hp out of a 2.2L with 25mpg! All these other darn sports cars are just wasting everyones gas.
