hey you might have seen my post on figuring out how to tell lug pattern on a rim, well, i figured it out, they are 4x 114.3 , which will not fit a civic, is it possible and safe to cross drill a 4 x 100 pattern in there as well,  my motegi mr7''s are drilled with 8 holes, 4 x 114.3  and 4 x 100 , so i figure it should be no problem for a machine shop to do it, what do you guys think?

i wouldnt either, they would have to be REALLY nice rims for me to consider it, but drilling into $100 a piece rims just isnt worth it.

not sure what else to do, bought them and there was a mix up and they sent 4X 114 instead of 4 X 100 , if i get a refund then i''m out all the shipping fees ( almost 100 bucks )  so i dunno what else to do, put them on caigslist to try to sell them but no luck yet

-Why did you want to buy 4x100? Do you have a Civic?

-If they mixed the order up, they should pay shipping both way. Give them  if they don''''t.

-Double drilled rims probably have some extra metal hidden somewhere to make up for lost strength with 8 holes.

do you have an invoice from wherever you bought it?

if so does it say the bolt pattern you ordered on it as well?

if it does call them / contact them and say that clearly you needed 4x100 and not 4x114.3

since its their mess up they should cover the shipping cost because there was no error on your part

the rims are for a friend in my car clubs, it''s a civic, the wheels were supposed to be 4 x 100 but i got 4 x 114, it''s a complicated situation, anyways it doesn''t matter, so it''s a no on the cross drilling?

Hi Jon...That is not correct..you can cross drill almost any wheels from 4x100 or from 4x114.3 and make them either way to fit both bolt patterns..The cost here in Ohio is $20.00 per wheel and there are wheel service people down there in Fla who can do that for you...call this number and mention my name and see if they can help you out...ask for Karem at this number...305.256.8889...if he''''s not doing that kind of work anymore ask him for a reference down there in Florida.

well we decided to cross drill them, they were done by supposedly the best machine shop in town, kinda upset though, the estimate over the phone was $100 , then when we brought them up there they said $150, anyways they are not mounted yet so we don''t know about how well it was done, but it looks good

they said i did not tell them they were aluminum, which i know i did, so they told me it was more work to deal with aluminum b/c it''''s softer, oh well, they are done now, this car was slammed to the ground before, i purchased dropzone coilovers from wheelbroker to raise the car up to fit the 17in rims, it had 16in before and it was so low there was no way to fit 17s unless it was brought up, anyways installed coilovers today and here is how it looks
